Description:
The Cisco QSFP-40G-SR4-S is a hot-swappable transceiver module designed for use in Cisco network devices. It supports 40 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over multimode fiber optic cable. The module uses four lanes of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 Gbps) to achieve a total data rate of 40 Gbps. It is compliant with the 40GBASE-SR4 standard and can also be used in 4x10GBASE-SR mode for compatibility with 10 Gigabit Ethernet devices.
The QSFP-40G-SR4-S features a maximum reach of 150 meters on OM4 multimode fiber and 100 meters on OM3 multimode fiber. It uses an MTP/MPO-12 connector for connection to the fiber optic cable. The module also supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) which allows for real-time monitoring of operational parameters such as optical power and temperature.
